Andrew Dittman (b. 1987) composes and arranges music primarily for the church.  Since 2013, he has served as choirmaster for The Chapel of the Cross Reformed Episcopal Church (REC) in Dallas, Texas, and its parochial school, The Saint Timothy School. Along with his choirmaster duties, he co-directs the Saint Timothy string orchestra program with his wife, Ashley, and has also taught math, physics, computer science, logic, and physical education.  He holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of North Texas, where he also earned bachelor’s degrees in music and computer science. As a baritone, he regularly performs as a soloist and chorister in Dallas’ professional choral groups. Andrew’s compositions and arrangements tends to cover the gamut of musical styles, incorporating elements from renaissance and baroque counterpoint, American folk songs and shape-note singing, Negro spirituals and gospel music, Dixieland, close harmony, big band jazz, and many other styles. He and Ashley reside in Richardson, Texas with their four children, John, James, Catherine, and Lucy.
